A unique one of piece of hammered repousse metalwork, this copper face sculpture displays a rapturous emotion, caught somewhere between escstasy, agony and fear the emotion on the parallels the tension of hand wrought metalwork.
 
Made using the ancient repousse technique traditionally used on decrotive armour, this face sculpture displays a high degree of hand skill and is a very unusual item for the modern age.
 
The metal face is displayed in an ash hardwood frame also hand made by the artist, and features a cutout on the back to allow the purchaser to view the hollow and usual nature of the relief form.
 
Hand hammered and formed with repousse chisels the copper face is finished with a high polish and blends into a copper nitrate black, blue marbled background patina.
